The ultrasonic generator applies high-frequency AC voltage to the transducer, charging its internal capacitance. Under the alternating electric field, the piezoelectric ceramic elements expand and contract synchronously, producing longitudinal vibration across the transducer. This vibration is then transmitted through the booster to the mold, delivering the welding force.
If the generator and the transducer are not well matched in capacitance, output power will be weak and welds will lack strength. In severe cases, the transducer may overheat, and excessive power can damage the electrode elements and the generator box.
Each MCSONIC transducer comes with a technical data sheet specifying its capacitance and frequency range, so you can select the ultrasonic generator that best matches your transducer.
